NAME: Amanda
AGE: 21
OTHER CHARACTERS PLAYED: N/A

IC Information
CHARACTER NAME: Eren Yaeger
AGE: 15
CANON: Attack on Titan
CANON POINT: Episode 22
FAMILY TYPES: All!
APPEARANCE: Eren is close to your average teenage male - he’s a hair under 5’7”, and he has a slim build and tanned skin. His brown hair is short and perpetually messy, and his eyes are a deep blue-green color. He has no blemishes or scars to speak of.
PERSONALITY: Eren dreams of freedom. He wants to go to the outside world, and he wants to be free from fear of the Titans more than anything. He’s had this desire even before the Titans broke into the walls, and seeing them and watching his mother die at the hands of a Titan has only made his desire to be free from that fear even stronger. He wants to kill all the Titans. He wants to get revenge for his mother, for his comrades, and for humanity as a whole. He’s been mocked and shamed for his dreams, and he’s been told and told again that it’s impossible, but he’s never been swayed. He takes these words, and like his anger at the Titans and his grief for his mother, he uses them to strengthen his resolve. He will kill all the Titans if it’s the last thing he does, and nothing anyone can say to deter him, or to make him feel like it’s a foolish, impossible goal, will change his mind. He feels that it’s his purpose in life, his reason for being, and he’s not going to ever give up or let himself get discourage.

He does listen to others, despite being so dead set on his goals - but only as long as they can get him to see where they’re coming from. He’s set in his beliefs to a point, and he’s always eager to learn more and become the best - and if he can apply these lessons to his goals, all the better. He’s not as sure of himself as he comes across, and he’s not afraid to admit when he’s wrong. He knows there are people who are better than him. People who are better tacticians, better fighters, better leaders, and he knows that they know better than he does, and he’ll listen to them and believe in them as best he can. He believes in most people, really, sometimes more than they believe in themselves.

The thing he fears most is his own lack of humanity. He can face down Titans, but learning that he could shift into a Titan has left him wary. He’s not necessarily afraid of what he can do, but he’s spent years of his life hating Titans for what they had taken from him, so learning that he himself was one...If he wasn’t as strong-willed and resilient as he is, it would have broke him. He’s wary of his power and losing control, but he knows that people are counting on him and the exceptional strength and ability that being a Titan has given him. He’s been called humanity’s last hope, and he doesn’t want to disappoint anyone.

This desire to not disappoint ties in pretty heavily with how he treats those around him. He’s prone to getting into fights and butting heads, but he cares deeply for those around him. He’s seen several of the people who trained with him die, and it’s not something he’ll easily accept. Eren wants the best for everyone, and even though there are some people he absolutely doesn’t get along with, like Jean, he still has faith in them. When the 104th Training Corps first faces Titans, Eren is quick to remind everyone that this is what they trained for, and they’re more than capable of surviving the attack. Sometimes he has more faith in people than he has in himself, like with his excursion with Squad Levi. They are all more skilled than he is, and have faced down more Titans than he has, so he feels like he should trust them and believe in them. He’s also a bit starstruck, as he’s always wanted to be a part of the survey corps.

Even though he knows they’re more than willing to kill him if he loses control of himself, he still tries his best to be respectful and understanding. He really does try to be understanding, but some people drive him crazy. He sees people in two ways - either they can teach him something, or they don’t offer anything to him, and he doesn’t have time for people who can’t offer him anything. If people don’t know more than him, he doesn’t have to respect them. (That still doesn’t mean he’s going to let them feel defeated and useless, because nobody has time for that.)

But asides from respecting and tolerating his comrades, there are those who Eren cares for deeply. His childhood friends, Mikasa and Armin, have definitely shaped the person he becomes. He admires both of their strengths - Mikasa’s combat skills and Armin’s intelligence - and he wants the two of them to be safe, and to do what they’re best at. He encourage Mikasa to do her own thing, and to join the Military Police and to work with the elite squads, because she would do more good there. Armin he trusted with his life, to convince the firing squad that he wasn’t a monster, because as far as Eren is concerned Armin knows the best solutions. They’re the two most important people in his lie, and he wouldn’t be capable of half the things he can do without them.

Despite how much he respects others, and how much he admires people and how he knows that he’s not the one in control, he’s still not going to bow down to anyone else’s will. He’s beyond headstrong and stubborn, and nothing will ever dampen his spirits. He’s passionate almost to a fault, and he throws himself into anything. He’ll do the same thing over and over just to get marginally better, and it was through sheer determination that he got into the top ten of his training class, and that’s the reason why he’s been able to live so long. He’s also mouthy and blunt, and he’ll speak up even when he shouldn’t. He doesn’t back down from conflict, ever, even if he’s in a fight that he can’t win. He’s abrasive and in-your-face and he doesn’t know any better to stop himself from getting punched.

Despite getting into fights time after time, he hates being looked after. His problems are his own, and he doesn’t like being indebted to others, or feeling like he’s being babied. That’s not to say he doesn’t trust others, because he does - he’ll trust his life to people he barely knows, because it’s their duty to protect him. He just wants to handle things on his own. He wants to protect others by not needing their protection, even if he hesitates and even if he’s unsure of his own abilities, he doesn’t want people to put their lives on the line for him because he can’t take care of himself. He’s tired of people dying, and for once he wants a day where everyone lives, and he wants to save everyone he can.

SAMPLES
FIRST PERSON: 1.) If you could make any reality at all, what would you make?
A world without Titans. Humanity shouldn’t live with fear of their next attack, and I’m not going to lay down and let myself get devoured by them! Too many people have died at the hands of the Titans, and no matter what I will make sure they meet their end. If I could make a world without Titans a reality, I would do so in a heartbeat.

3.) If you were given the option to stay in the Digital World or return to your home, which would you choose? Why?
I would return home, of course! There are still so many things I need to do, and my mission isn’t over yet. It won’t be over for a while, and I can’t let myself become complacent, and I can’t forget what I need to do. Not to mention my friends are there, and I need to see them again. I need to make sure they’re okay.

6.) What would make up your ideal friend?
I already have my ideal friends. There’s nobody who could be any better than Mikasa or Armin. Mikasa is strong, and she can do anything she wants, and Armin is smart enough to do anything he wants. I grew up with them, and there’s no sort of person who could replace them for me. We’re going to see the outside world together.
THIRD PERSON: There’s something to be said for things you can’t understand. Lots of things, really, but right now all Eren was thinking was “shit”.

That seemed to be all he was thinking these days.

This new world he found himself was strange, and uncomfortable, but he couldn’t let himself be distracted. He couldn’t. There was a world out there for him, a world that wasn’t here but that was somehow connected, and he had to get back there some day. He had to...He had to get to his basement. He had to stop the Titans. He had to make sure that Armin and Mikasa were okay. That nobody else would die because he couldn’t do what humanity needed to do. He had to make sure that nobody else died, but being trapped here meant he was useless. Less than useless. He didn’t even know what was going on at home, and that left him distracted and upset.

He rubbed his eyes, trying to ignore the small creature that was with him constantly. A...digimon, or whatever. It was one of the many things that he didn’t understand about this new world. He had no idea what “digital” meant, and half the technology just wound up with him being puzzled and feeling like the world’s biggest moron. He knew that he couldn’t be the only one who didn’t understand anything about this place he was in now, but it certainly felt like he was. Nobody else he met seemed half as baffled as he was. The letter had explained...some things, and so had that creature, but that didn’t mean he understood. It all...felt too unreal, like he was in some sort of fever dream. He had been pretty terribly wounded, so maybe that was real.

Still, as unreal as this place was, it was too sharp and clear to be a dream, so he really was stuck. He sighed heavily, sinking down/ He didn’t know what to do. He had to figure out something, fast, or accept living here. He groaned, flopping backwards. He couldn’t do that. Not at all.
